Division of International and Environmental Health

The Division of International and Environmental Health (IEH) is the primary academic home for all Boonshoft School of Medicine faculty in the disciplines of environmental health, global health, international health and intercultural health. Faculty are located in the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences Education Center (3123 Research Blvd., Kettering, Ohio) as well as in the community.

Faculty in the Division of International and Environmental Health are actively involved in research in the areas of global health and environmental health. They are responsible for the core environmental health course in the Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) program and several M.P.H. electives, as well as undergraduate global health courses. The Center for Global Health and the Global Health Certificate Program are housed within this division. The Center for Global Health is the point of contact at Wright State University for the Consortium for Global Health, the national organization supporting and promoting advanced education in global health. The director of the Division of International and Environmental Health is Naila Khalil, Ph.D., M.B.B.S., M.P.H., CPH.
