Doctoring Phase

All students begin this phase in a 2-week Doctoring Bootcamp where they receive “just in time” training on various skills they will need in clerkships, as well as completion of OSCEs to provide summative feedback to the students as they move into the clinical phase. All students come back together twice monthly for common didactics as part of the Clinical Medicine Doctoring longitudinal module that runs for the 50 weeks in which students are in their Doctoring year completing core clinical clerkships (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Surgery). Students complete the Emergency Medicine clerkship, at least one Sub-I, and electives during their Advanced Doctoring year (52 weeks, which includes time for USMLE Step 2 CK study and interviewing).
